The overall objective of the consultancy assignment was to conduct a social impact assessment in the domain of the gold mine in Erzincan. The goal of social impact assessment is to drive improvements that increase the value of programs to the people they serve. Social impact assessment helps organizations to plan better, implement more effectively, and successfully bring initiatives to scale. Assessment also facilitates accountability, supports stakeholder communication, and helps guide the allocation of scarce resources.
- Research methodology in line with World Bank Impact Assessment techniques were prepared,
- Quantitative and qualitative survey tools were designed, tested, and adjusted,
- Data collected through face-to-face interviews and key informant interviews
- Quantitative data analysed by SPSS and qualitative by MaxQDA
- Assessment report was drafted and presented.
