In the realm of championing gender equality, collaboration and knowledge-sharing play a pivotal role. It is through partnerships and initiatives that meaningful progress is made, creating a stronger foundation for a more inclusive future. Within this context we’re thrilled to highlight our engagement within the transformative ‘Strong Civic Space for Gender Equality‘ project, an endeavor backed by the EU and executed by UN Women Turkey. The purpose of the mentoring programme is to support civil society organizations (CSO) that have gained knowledge and skills on data and statistics sources and usage techniques related to gender equality by participating in the “Modular Gender Data and Statistics Capacity Development Programme” conducted within the scope of the project. The programme aims to develop CSOs’ capacities further to conduct field research, collect data, analyze data, visualize data, create databases, interpret statistics, and conduct advocacy activities based on gender data and statistics in line with their needs.
We had our first meeting for mentorship with Women’s Solidarity Foundation in Ankara!
Within the scope of the ‘Strong Civic Space for Gender Equality‘ project funded by the EU and implemented by UN Women Turkey, we met with Kadın Dayanışma Vakfı, which was selected among the CSOs participating in the “Capacity Building and Technical Assistance Program on Gender Data and Statistics – Ankara” training we carried in partnership with CEİD Gender Equality Monitoring Association and Dissensus Research. Kadın Dayanışma Vakfı was not only chosen among the impressive roster of participating CSOs, but it also stood out for its remarkable dedication to gender equality and empowerment.
As we look to the future, we’re excited to see these collaborative efforts amplify and create a lasting legacy of gender equality. It’s a privilege to be part of this journey, working hand in hand with remarkable organizations that exemplify the change we collectively strive for.
