Funda Çoğal graduated from Istanbul University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Her academic career continued with a Master’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration at the Middle East Technical University and is currently continuing her Ph.D. on the PSPA at METU. Her academic interests include Public Policies, Social Policies, and Urban Policies. She knows English at an advanced level. She is a professional in Data Literacy, Google Spreadsheets, and MAXQDA, and is familiar with R programming. Having been involved in projects funded by the UN and other organizations, Funda has experience in mixed-methods research design, implementation, analysis, and reporting. She also has experience in in-depth interviews with diverse populations, with a particular focus on the working class. Her master’s thesis, “Forms Of Capital And Education: The Case Of Janitors’ Families In Büyükçekmece, Istanbul” focused on the capital accumulation strategies of apartment janitors living in Büyükçekmece/Istanbul. Her research approach utilizes a mixed methods approach to gain comprehensive insights that will contribute to policy development and evidence-based decision-making.
