Benan Akyıldırım earned her undergraduate degree from Gazi University, Department of Public Relations and Publicity. She completed her education as a presenter and speaker at Baskent Communication Academy and is doing her masters in Latin and North American Studies at Middle East Technical University (METU). Benan, whose thesis is on politicians’ use of social media, has also been responsible for Tandans DSC’s social media accounts and visibility since 2017, as developing and implementing communication strategies that includes media outreach and social media content creation, content design, content writing, event promotion, and webinar moderation. Currently working on Tandans’ website, Benan has also been a social researcher in various national and international projects since 2014. During the pandemic period, she coordinated the field in the Out of School Children (OoSC) project, which was carried out remotely with UNICEF and Cambridge Education, and the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) Study on Early and Forced Marriages in Turkey, which was carried out with UNICEF. She developed and implemented digital communication of Tandans during the pandemic. Also, she designes printed and digital materials such as video, poster and brochure, report and proposal.
