About the project

The Project, funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and benefited by Kahramanmaraş Provincial Directorate of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, was implemented for 18 months starting from April 2017. The main objectives of the project are to contribute to the economic development of the region and increase the competitiveness of the Maraş Pepper Sector in the region. Within the scope of the project, Maraş Pepper Cluster was established, and a packaging facility and laboratory for common use were operationalized.

TANDANS DSC conducted the “consumer expectation and brand perception” survey included qualitative and quantitative research methods.

The “consumer expactation and brand perception” survey included qualitative and quantitative research methods including 2504 online questionnaires, 205 face-to-face interviewes with chefs or restaurant managers, 58 face-to-face interviews with spiceshop keepers and 161 in-depth interviews with producers, processors, merchants and sector experts.
